If faculty, staff, or administrators are leaving Baruch and are taking research data to continue research activities they must enter into a Data Transfer Agreement (DTA). Please contact Keisha Peterson, Director of Research Compliance and Outreach for further information.

If student is taking their research data (i.e. thesis, dissertation, independent studies, etc.) a Data Transfer Agreement is not required. However, if student is taking faculty research data (i.e. data derived from a faculty-led study) a Data Transfer Agreement is required.

Please contact Keisha Peterson, Director of Research Compliance and Outreach, to request transfer of Qualtrics data to a new institution or account.

Only CUNY Central officials can provide an institutional signature. Baruch Researchers, Chairs, Administrative Officials, etc. can not sign these agreements on behalf of CUNY. Agreements requiring an institutional signature will be forwarded to CUNY Central and signed by either the General Counsel or a designated signatory. Please contact the Office of Research Compliance and Outreach if you have any questions.

If you are entering into an agreement with another person or data holder to receive or share data, leaving CUNY for another institution, or transferring CUNY research data to non-CUNY individuals or organizations please contact the Director of Research Compliance and Outreach as these types of agreements may require an institutional approval and signature.

Agreements related to contracts and grants administered by the Research Foundation of CUNY (RF) on behalf of the University are signed by signatories designated by the RF. If your agreement/contract is related to or funded by a grant please contact the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (SPAR).
