Empowering Ethical Research at Baruch
At Baruch College, the Office of Research Compliance and Outreach (ORCO) is dedicated to supporting the scholarly research pursuits of faculty, students, and staff. ORCO promotes ethical research practices and ensures that all Baruch-affiliated research complies with federal and state regulations, university policies, and the highest standards of integrity.
ORCO oversees key compliance areas including human subjects research, export control, research agreements, and IACUC administration. These regulations and policies apply regardless of funding source or sponsorship. Through forward-thinking oversight and leadership, ORCO guides the responsible handling and maintenance of research data and materials.
In collaboration with the Baruch research community, ORCO provides administrative support, compliance education, and expert guidance to foster a culture of ethical awareness and regulatory understanding across campus.
