    Collaborative IRB Training Initative (CITI)

    The Collaborative IRB Training Initative (CITI) is the computer-based training taken by CUNY researchers, research assistants, and other key personnel consists of several topical modules offered for distinct user groups.

    The Human Subjects Research (HSR) Training CITI is required for all researchers and research personnel involved in research activities. CITI Certification lasts for three years. Every three years researchers and personnel must take refresher courses. The Human Subjects Basic CITI Training will take three to four hours and the Human Subjects Refresher Course takes 1 to 2 hours. CITI Training course modules can be taken together or separately.
